Discovering the Christmas market of Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Published on In Paris

At Christmas, the streets of the Latin Quarter with their elegant facades take on an absolutely magical atmosphere with the illuminations and the decorated shop windows, culminating in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas market. Don't miss, during your stay at the Hôtel des Mines, to walk through its alleys...

A tradition of the district

In 2022, the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas market will be held for the 23rd time - this year from December 3 to January 8. Facing the church of the same name and along the boulevard Saint-Germain, elegant chalets are set up and attract the eye and the nose! Indeed, the craftsmen are carefully selected to offer you quality products. You will find beautiful original gift ideas but also gastronomic products of season like smoked salmon, caviar, chocolates...

In the heart of the Latin Quarter

From the Hôtel des Mines, it will take you barely 20 minutes to walk to the Christmas market of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. To do so, you will walk along the magnificent Luxembourg Gardens, before taking the elegant Rue de Tournon in front of the Senate entrance. You will then arrive on the boulevard Saint-Germain and the Christmas market chalets. This stroll will be ideal to whet your appetite and then to honor the catering chalets. Chocolate and mulled wine, brioches and French toast, waffles and pancakes, roasted chestnuts, nothing is missing to put you in the Christmas mood and warm you up! Finally, for the children, a meeting with Santa Claus is planned on December 23, 24 and 25.

The Latin Quarter has its own identity. The Christmas market of Saint-Germain-des-Prés has become one of its beautiful and unavoidable traditions. Immerse yourself in the spirit of Christmas by visiting it during your stay at the Hôtel des Mines.
